Sport Administrator

The America East Conference, located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, invites nominations and applications for the position of Sport Administrator. The conference seeks a qualified individual to serve as a primary liaison for championship/sport administration, as well as other duties as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as primary championship administrator and provide on-site championship management for selected sports as assigned.
  • Serve as primary liaison to coaches groups for selected sports.
  • Develop annual conference schedule for selected sports and compile annual RPI review.
  • Coordinate scheduling for in-season and post-season events.
  • Administer various aspects of regular season sports policies and standards.
  • Update non-basketball policy manuals on annual basis.
  • Oversee all aspects(ordering/inventory/distribution) of championship awards, gifts, and credentials.
  • Maintain inventory and storage of all common championship and banquet items.
  • Facilitate transit and return of all necessary championship and banquet needs to appropriate venues (banners, signage, gifts, credentials, awards, handbooks).
  • Advise member schools regarding scheduling standard compliance for specific sports.
  • Coordinate the Coaches Chair program.
  • Complete other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Bachelor's degree and experience in collegiate athletics or related field. Seeking applicants with effective oral and written communication skills, as well as strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
