This individual will assist in the overall academic advising for student-athletes in designated sports (University has recently added additional sports - Football and Women's Rowing). Position will require strong organizational and communication skills in day-to-day activities with ODU faculty, staff, administration, coaches and student-athletes This position will monitor and enhance progress towards degree and continuing eligibility under all NCAA, CAA and ODU regulations. This includes: student-athlete scheduling and registration, team meetings with coaching staff, working relationships with individual campus departments, and reporting and tracking of all necessary information.

Minimum qualifications include: Master's degree required or Bachelor's degree with experience equivalent to an advanced degree. Proven experience in advising collegiate student-athletes (Division 1 experience preferred). Knowledge of NCAA eligibility rules and regulations. Knowledge and understanding of NCAA APR (Academic Progress Rate). Strong communication skills. Strong computer skills.
